The steering oil pump has three types: a gear type steering oil pump, a vane type steering oil pump and a rotor type steering oil pump. The steering oil pump is the power source for the power steering.

1.External gear type steering oil pump: the right hole is the oil inlet port, the left hole is oily; the main driven gear is integrated with the shaft; the main and driven gears that mesh with each other together with the end cover and the pump body form a sealing work. The volume and the meshing point of the gear separate the left and right chambers to form a suction and pressure oil chamber. When the gear rotates, the teeth in the right suction oil are disengaged, the volume of the sealed working chamber is continuously increased, and part of the vacuum is formed. The oil enters the oil suction chamber from the oil tank through the oil suction pipe under the action of atmospheric pressure, and the rotating tooth belt Enter the pressure chamber on the left side. The teeth in the left pressure oil chamber continuously enter the meshing, so that the volume of the sealed working chamber is reduced, and the oil is squeezed and discharged to the system, which is the oil suction and oil pressure process of the gear pump.

2.Rotor type steering oil pump: Both the active inner rotor and the driven outer rotor are installed in the oil pump casing. The inner rotor is fixed on the driving shaft, and the outer rotor is freely rotatable in the oil pump casing, and there is a certain eccentricity between the two. When the inner rotor is turned to any angle, the tooth profile of each of the inner and outer rotors can always be in point contact with each other, so that four working chambers are formed between the inner and outer rotors. When a working chamber is turned from the oil inlet hole, the volume increases, a vacuum is generated, and the oil is sucked through the oil inlet hole. The rotor continues to rotate. When the working chamber communicates with the oil outlet, the internal volume of the cavity is reduced, the oil pressure is increased, and the oil is forced out through the oil hole.

3.Working principle of double-acting vane type steering oil pump: When the rotor rotates clockwise, the vane is closely attached to the inner surface of the stator under the action of centrifugal force and high-pressure oil. The working volume begins to change from small to large, and the oil is sucked into the oil suction port; then the working volume is changed from large to small, the oil is compressed, and the oil is supplied to the outside through the pressure port. Each time the rotor rotates, each working chamber sucks and presses oil twice.
